Vodafone Business Returns as Official Technology and Communications Partner for FIA Extreme H World Cup

London, September 30, 2025: The FIA Extreme H World Cup today announces that Vodafone Business will return as the championship’s Official Technology and Communications Partner. Since joining Extreme E in 2022, Vodafone Business has played a pivotal role delivering advanced connectivity and digital solutions in some of the world’s most remote and challenging environments.

By integrating 5G, Mobile Private Network (MPN) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, Vodafone has enabled seamless race operations, enhanced driver and team communications, strengthened broadcast delivery, and ensured medical teams remain connected to safeguard driver and staff wellbeing.

The partnership also helped advance the championship’s sustainability goals. Vodafone has supported Extreme E’s Legacy Programmes, including a pioneering ultra-early forest fire detection system in Sardinia to protect historic olive groves, reinforcing shared commitments to environmental progress and social impact.

Ali Russell, Managing Director of the FIA Extreme H World Cup, says: “Vodafone Business has been an invaluable partner since joining Extreme E, helping us push the boundaries of connectivity and innovation in some of the most challenging environments on the planet. As we make the historic transition to hydrogen racing, Vodafone Business’ expertise will once again play a critical role to ensure our operations, safety, and sustainability goals are delivered.”

Amanda Jobbins, Global Chief Marketing Officer and Commercial Director, Vodafone Business, said: “We’re proud to extend our partnership with Extreme H at this inaugural race. This championship provides a unique platform to showcase how Vodafone technologies like 5G, and IoT, can solve real-world challenges, from keeping people safe to reducing carbon emissions. Together with Extreme H, we’re not only enabling high-performance sport but also demonstrating how technology can drive meaningful progress towards a more sustainable future.”

This renewed agreement reflects Extreme H’s commitment to combining sport, innovation, and purpose-driven partnerships, with connectivity at the heart of success.

The inaugural FIA Extreme H World Cup will take place in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia on October 9-11, 2025. The event will make history as the first international race event to use hydrogen-powered vehicles, marking a new future for motorsport, defined by cutting-edge technology and bold ambition.
